Google OAuth Permissions Overview
We request specific permissions through Google OAuth to enable the app's functionality, as explained against each permission stated below:
- See, edit, create, and delete only the specific Google Drive files you use with this app – To upload the files to your Google Drive and list selected files from Google Drive into Sheets.
- View and manage documents that this application has been installed in – To display the add-on sidebar if you want to list files inside the Google Docs.
- View and manage spreadsheets that this application has been installed in – To display the add-on sidebar to upload files to Google Drive from Google Sheets and list files from Google Drive into Google Sheets.
- Connect to an external service – To interact with the Drive Explorer Pro license server.
- Display and run third-party web content in prompts and sidebars inside Google applications – To display the add-on as a right sidebar that provides the option to interact with the Google Drive.
- Allow this application to run when you are not present – This permission is a requirement for the OAuth token generation, which is essential for enabling the Google Picker API. The Google Picker allows you to select files from Google Drive that you'd like to add to your Google Sheets.
What information do we collect?
When you use our app, we collect your email to validate your Drive Explorer Pro license on a per-user basis and track service usage for individual users.
